The first measure was put in affect last season, in witch the Lateral and the Tribuna seating categories were subdivided: first step was to distinguish 1st ring seats from 2nd ring seats, making the second group of a higher price due to the understanding that the view of the pitch, and the total experience of the game is better from a higher viewing point! Personally I think the best view is on TV at home, from the sofa! And going to a lovely stadium like the Camp Nou should have an extra emotional element to it, such as getting close to the football idols! I recommend the 1st ring although understanding this “seat distinguish” decision. The second measure was of breaking the long side zones – Lateral and Tribuna into separate longitude zones: the central zone and the standard zone (closer to the corners). This has its obvious logic, although I personally disagree with this: the main drama in a football match is the scoring of goals – this happens clearly only in the goals!!! So sitting next to a goal (in the corner) has its topping – yet there are 2 goals in a pitch, and you can’t sit next to both, so having some good luck may help.
The second measure affecting the football tickets pricing is the additional game category named LFP A+ to this category 2 games have been designated FC Barcelona – Valencia due to its high attraction for sporting reasons, the other game FC Barcelona – Osasuna due to being in spring holidays allowing many national and international fans to assist. I totally agree with this measure, it is normal that a high demanded game shall have higher prices. Going to watch a football game is a luxury, not a necessity and in real world terms that means paying.
Although I don’t totally see the true value of both measures, eventually they are measures adjusting the Barcelona football tickets prices to the cold reality of the stadium structure and the fixture list.
